Factors affecting the learning motivation of accounting students at Kien Giang University
Abstract
The objective of the study is to determine the factors affecting the learning motivation of students majoring in Accounting at Kien Giang University. Data were collected from 228 Accounting students of Course 3, Course 4, and Course 5 of the Faculty of Economics and Tourism, Kien Giang University. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and multivariate regression (OLS) were used to determine factors that affect students' learning motivation. The main content of the study is to consider the impact of factors through the modified model: (1) The quality of lecturers; (2) Learning Conditions; (3) Learning environment; (3) Training program; (4) Movement activities; (5) Management and communication to students' learning motivation (knowledge improvement and social relations motive). The results show that all the factors included in the model had an impact on the motivation of knowledge improvement and there were 4 factors which affect the social relations motive
