Current status assessment of the domestic water supply system taken from underground water sources in Dak Lak province
Abstract
With dry weather condition, groundwater plays an important role in providing clean water for residents in Dak Lak province. According to the research results, the quality of groundwater is relatively stable and meets the standards for exploitation for living and drinking purposes. However, compared with the standards by the Ministry of Health QCVN 01-1:2018/BYT, in some localities, iron and manganese properties in water have exceeded the threshold up to 8.18mg/l for iron and 0.623mg/l for manganese. There are currently 207 concentrated water supply works in the whole province, the proportion of residents using hygienic water is relatively high and increasing over the years, but it is still low and there is a disparity
among localities in the province.
