CORRELATION OF RAIN INTENSITY AND RAIN REPETITION CYCLE ACCORDING TO VIETNAMESE STANDARD 7957:2008

Abstract

Abstract: Currently, many places, sub-areas, urban areas, highways, and roads in many localities are often flooded during the rainy season, but there has not been a study to evaluate the specific cause, only assessments are due to the rain. There is a high intensity of rain and there is a short period of rain. Rain intensity is an important value used to calculate sewer aperture for storm water drainage. Rain intensity is calculated according to TCVN 7957:2008. In this study, the author analyzes the influence of rain time (t) and rain repetition period (P) on rain intensity in some areas.
