EFFECT OF DEFORMATION LEVELS ON AA7075 ALUMINUM ALLOY MICROSTRUCTURE WHEN PREPARING SEMI-SOLID MICROSTRUCTURE USING MULTIDIRECTIONAL FORGING
Keywords:
Semi-solid, multidirectional forging, AA7075 aluminum alloy.
Abstract
This article presents the results of research on the influence of the
deformation levels on the microstructure when preparing a semi-solid
microstructure of AA7075 aluminum alloy using the multidirectional forging with
heating in the two-phase zone. Experiments show that, as the deformation level
increases, the microstructure becomes small, smooth, and uniform. However,
when the deformation level is too large (the number of pressing cycles is greater
than 6), the resulting organization does not change much. The reasonable value
when pressing to prepare a semi-solid structure of AA7075 aluminum alloy is
pressing cycle n = 5~6.
