RESEARCH ON EVALUATING THE ACTIVITY LEVEL OF HUMAN MUSCLES DURING MOVEMENT BY ELECTROMECHANICAL
Abstract
This paper presents a study on evaluating the correspondence between
muscle activity levels and electromyography signals, by compare of the grip force
and the electromyography signal obtained from the EMG Sensor V3 at the øexor
digitorum superöcialis muscle. Electromyography signal data were collected
through an experiment on a person holding hand with the force levels of 6kg,
13kg, and 20kg. The electromyography signal value is normalized to the muscle
activity level factor E and compared with the measured levels. The results show
that the level of muscle activity is directly proportional to the amplitude of the
electromyography signal collected by the EMG sensor. The results show that the
electromechanical signal evaluation method of the study can be applied in the
öeld of medicine, sports or control, testing the effectiveness of power assist
devices, rehabilitation equipments.
