Abstract
Automobile alloy wheel rims are the parts that are frequently subject to
mechanical forces so they are easily deformed, scatched and damaged.
Therefore, design of the size and shape of the rim must be suitable for tire
mounting and ensure durability. The article presents the contents of design and
calculation of impact resistance of automobile alloy rims used in Vietnam. Based
on National technical regulation QCVN78:2014/BGTVT of Vietnam and ISO 4000-
2 to determine structural parameters for automobile rims and to build a durable
computational model. Using Solidwork software to build 3D models and using
Ansys software to calculate durability for wheel rim. This method helps to reduce
the time and effort in the design process.
