HOW TO INCREASE NON-ENGLISH MAJORED STUDENTS’ MOTIVATION TO LEARN ENGLISH ONLINE MORE EFFECTIVELY IN THE BLENDED-LEARNING PROJECT AT HANOI UNIVERSITY OF INDUSTRY
Abstract
It is the fact that learners’ motivation plays a significant role in the success of
second language teaching in general and in the Blended-learning project at Hanoi
University of Industry (HaUI) in particular. Learners’ motivation, however, is a
complex and multifaceted construct. As a result, this study is conducted to explore
the main body of literature on learners’ motivation in the context of blendedlearning. It also aims to discuss the different types of motivation, some factors that
affect learners’ motivation; accordingly, the writers suggest some solutions in order
to generate and maintain motivation for non-English majored students of
Automotive Technology in the Blended-learning project at HaUI with the hope of
improving the effectiveness of this project.
