STUDY ON THE EFFECTS OF THE NUMBER AND SET DISTANCE OF SEMI-FINISHED PRODUCTS ON THE SEWING TIME OF POLO-SHIRTS

Abstract

This paper presents the results of the study on the effects of the number of
semi-finished products and the set distance of semi-finished products on the
time of Polo-Shirts. While the set distance of the semi-finished products is
determined based on adopting the research results of the GSD system and the
number of the semi-finished set is specified based on a survey at Dong Van
garment factory, Hanoi Textile and Garment Joint Stock Corporation. In the
study, the method of orthogonal experimental planning and two variables were
used to design experiments, process data, and analyze experimental results
using Design-Expert software, processing software. The results identified the
number of semi-finished products and set distance of the semi-finished products
to optimize the time of Polo-Shirts, which contributes to improving labor
productivity and organizational efficiency in the garment industry.
