IMPACT ON PENETRATION LEVEL OF WIND TURBINE SYSTEM TO TRANSIENT VOLTAGE OF THE ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION NETWORK

Abstract

Modern wind turbines penetrate more and more widely inside distribution
network as distributed generation in order to satisfy the energy demand.
However, the integration level of this source has significant influence on the
stability of distibution network and the operation of the protection system. This
article presents the simulation results of the transient voltage bus in short circuit
condition near the wind turbines location and in switching condition by using
EMTP-RV program.
