EVALUATING THE USE CEMENT TO REPLACE MINERAL POWDER IN IMPROVING THE CHARACTERISTIC OF HOT MIX ASPHALT

Abstract

In recent years, the phenomenon of vicious rutting appears quite frequently on many high-grade roads in Vietnam. One of the solutions proposed is to partialy replace cement with mineral powder in the production of asphalt concrete, however there are many concerns about the resistance to cracking. Therefore, this article provides experimental results to assess the ability to use cement for improving the quality of asphalt concrete (AC) in Vietnam.
