GREEN ECONOMIC - INEVITABLE TREND FOR SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN VIET NAM

Green economy development is a global trend for sustainable economic
development in countries around the world, including Vietnam. Vietnam is fortunate to be
located in a region with strong economic development and have many favorable social and
legal conditions to develop a green economy like its neighboring countries. However, Vietnam's
economy continues to be driven by a brown growth model characterized by dependence on raw
material production, unsustainable consumption of fossil fuels and natural resources, and
increasing environmental pollution. This research paper points out the inevitability of the green
economy, a trend of sustainable development in Viet Nam, thereby proposing recommendations
and solutions in order to develop a green economy associated with the sustainable development
of the country comprehensively, both achieving economic growth goals and ensuring social
security, environmental protection and ecosystems for the future.
