Nghiên cứu này xem xét tác động của công nghệ thông tin và truyền thông (ICT) đến hiệu quả hoạt động của các tập đoàn kinh tế và tổng công ty nhà nước tại Việt Nam. Dữ liệu thứ cấp được thu thập từ báo cáo tài chính của tập đoàn kinh tế, tổng công ty nhà nước và báo cáo chỉ số phát triển ICT từ Bộ Thông tin & Truyền thông với Kỹ thuật ước lượng bình phương tối thiểu tổng quát khả thi (FGLS). Nghiên cứu này cho thấy ICT có tác động tích cực đến hiệu quả hoạt động, khẳng định vai trò quan trọng của ICT trong nâng cao hiệu quả hoạt động. Kết quả nghiên cứu này phù hợp với lý thuyết dựa vào nguồn lực (RBV). Nghiên cứu đề xuất các hàm ý quản trị như: (1) Lộ trình chuyển đổi số rõ ràng; (2) Áp dụng ERP, Blockchain, ISO 27001 để nâng cao quản trị và bảo mật; (3) Giảm đòn bẩy tài chính, ưu tiên vốn tự có hoặc quỹ hỗ trợ; (4) Cải tổ tổ chức, thêm CIO, đào tạo kỹ năng số.

The Impact of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) on the Performance of economic corporations (ECs) and state-owned general companies (SGCs) in Vietnam.

Abstract:

This study examines the impact of information and communication technology (ICT) on the operational efficiency of economic corporations and state-owned enterprises in Vietnam. Secondary data were collected from financial reports of these entities and ICT development index reports from the Ministry of Information and Communications, using the Feasible Generalized Least Squares (FGLS) estimation technique. The findings indicate that ICT positively affects operational efficiency, affirming its critical role in enhancing performance. These results align with the Resource-Based View (RBV) theory. The study proposes managerial implications: (1) Establish a clear digital transformation roadmap; (2) Adopt ERP, Blockchain, and ISO 27001 to improve governance and security; (3) Reduce financial leverage, prioritizing internal capital or support funds; (4) Restructure organizations, introduce a CIO position, and provide digital skills training.
