MAJOR AESTHETIC TRENDS DOMINATING VIET NAM LITERATURE IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE 20th CENTURY

Abstract

Classic aesthetic and Urban aesthetic were two major trends dominating Viet Nam’s literary life in the first half of the 20^th century because their existence reflected clearly the transition of the literature at this period. We have been searching for its specific manifestations in typical compositions by Ho Bien Chanh, Tu luc van doan, Ngo Tat To, Nguyen Tuan, Vu Trong Phung, etc.
