A 50-YEAR JOURNEY OF KNOWLEDGE CREATION AND HISTORICAL MILESTONES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS - THE UNIVERSITY OF DANANG

Abstract

Marking its 50-year journey of knowledge creation, guided by the development philosophy of “Liberal Arts - Self-initiative - Pragmatism”, University of Economics - The University of Danang has established a distinct identity and affirmed its important role within Vietnam’s higher education landscape. The University’s history of formation and development is a vivid reflection of the perseverance, spirit of innovation, and aspiration to serve the community shared by generations
over the past half-century. This paper reviews the most notable milestones in the University’s development, from its challenging early days to its achievements in reform and integration. It highlights the University’s efforts to affirm its mission and position by building a progressive and humanistic academic environment; promoting the discovery, application, and transfer of knowledge in economics, business, and management; fostering lifelong learning and student success; nurturing talent; addressing socio-economic challenges; and contributing to the prosperity of the community.
