LAM SON, A SYMBOLIC SYSTEM EXPRESSED IN LITERATURE WORKS IMBUED WITH THE ART OF WORDS

Abstract

he Lam Son uprising and the generals who participated in the uprising have become eternal symbols of the Vietnamese people. Rivers, streams, mountains and forests, and the Lam Son insurgent army are all imbued with the legend of a righteous national resistance war and are built into symbolic systems in literary works that still need to be decoded by our generations. The paper studied Lam Son through both written and folk literature. With research results of symbolic system in literary works, the author hopes to clarify the cultural, historical and human characteristics of the legendary Lam Son land.
