In the context of the current digital technology boom, social media has become a widely used platform attracting substantial participation from young people, especially university students. It is not only a tool for connection and information sharing but also exerts profound influence on learners’ perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors. Given the important role of students in the cause of national construction and development, guiding them to effectively harness the benefits of social media while controlling and limiting its negative impacts has become an urgent task for universities and social organizations. In practice, alongside opportunities for learning, interaction, and access to new knowledge, social media also poses various risks, including distorted values, time wastage, reduced concentration, and negative effects on lifestyle. Through surveying and analyzing the impact of social media on students at Quang Ninh University of Industry, this article proposes several feasible solutions to improve the effectiveness of lifestyle education, thereby contributing to the comprehensive development of students who are resilient, responsible, and adaptable to the demands of the digital era.
