By analyzing and synthesizing recent studies on the development of communication skills for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), this article identifies both theoretical and practical foundations that support teachers, therapists, and parents in selecting effective strategies for communication enhancement. Evidence- based approaches such as ABA, ESDM, PECS, play therapy, art, and physical activities have been shown to improve communication when individualized according to each child's functional profile and applied in inclusive classroom contexts. Based on these findings, the article proposes practical recommendations and future research directions focusing on interdisciplinary collaboration among schools, families, and specialists, as well as flexible intervention design grounded in continuous assessment. These efforts aim to enhance communication skill development, promote social integration, and improve quality of life for children with ASD.
