Tóm tắt
Vietnamese folk music, encompassing genres such as Quan họ folk songs, Ca trù, Hò Huế, and chèo, represents a vital part of the nation's cultural heritage. In the era of globalization, folk music has been gradually losing its appeal among young people, particularly university students. This study explores the role and impact of Vietnamese folk music on the formation of cultural identity among university students, with a focus on those at Hai Duong University. By integrating theoretical analysis, empirical surveys, and proposed solutions, the research highlights that folk music not only serves as an invaluable form of intangible cultural heritage but also functions as an educational and inspirational medium that helps shape moral values and cultural consciousness in the younger generation. The findings reveal that frequent engagement with folk music fosters a stronger sense of cultural roots, national pride, and personal identity among students.
