In recent years, human trafficking has become increasingly complex, particularly the trafficking of women and children, which remains a pressing social issue. Human trafficking is not only a serious violation of the law but also a grave social problem that causes severe consequences for victims and communities. The 2015 Penal Code (amended in 2017) and the revised Law on Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking have established specific provisions to address this crime. Human trafficking infringes upon human rights, gravely affects victims' health, psychological well-being, and lives, and negatively impacts morality, family values, and social order. This article proposes several solutions to enhance the effectiveness of combating and preventing human trafficking crimes in Vietnam today.
