Abstract

In this short article, we will discuss Professor Đinh Xuân Lâm's research on Vietnam’s early 20th century history. However, it should be noted that we are unable to examine works conducted in collaboration
with other authors - because we do not have clear information regarding the professor's specific contributions to those works. Therefore, we will focus our analysis on approximately 17 articles that Professor Lâm authored independently or played a principal role in producing. These were published up until 2010 in reputable academic journals, with several included in his book "The Anti-Colonial Movement in Vietnam," published by the Education Publishing House in 2015. In terms of quantity, among those 17 articles, 14 relate to political movements in general, while only 3 address socio-economic issues. However, upon closer examination of their content, it is evident that the professor made significant contributions not only in the political dimension - specifically the national liberation movement - but also in the socio-economic aspects of Vietnamese history during that period. Some of these articles will be highlighted in this paper.
