Abstract

Vietnamese intellectuals have had an essential role in history. Together with other social classes and strata, they have made tremendous contributions to the survival and development of the country. In each historical period, there was always a considerable group of intellectuals who brought their strength and intelligence to serve the nation. Since 1930, the intellectual class continued to play its important role in the struggle for national independence, including the patriotic intellectual force of the Central region who converged at the Frontline Youth School in the 1930s and their contributions to the August Revolution in 1945. In this article, the author aims to contribute to clarifying the establishment of the Frontline Youth School, its process of "Viet Minhization", and its role in the victory of the August in Thua Thien Hue.
