Abstract

The roots of Curcuma cochinchinensis Gagnep. were collected from Phu Yen province. The essential oil from the roots of Curcuma cochinchinensis Gagnep was obtained 

by hydrodistillation. The chemical composition of Curcuma cochinchinensis essential oil was determined by gas chromatography coupled mass spectrometry (GC-MS) method, with the main constituents including 1,8-cineole (14.1%), B-elemenone (13.1%), germacrone (5.0%) và curdione (2.2%).
