Monitoring land use changes in Gia Lam district, Hanoi during the period of 2018 - 2023

Abstract
The study utilized the Random Forest (RF) machine learning algorithm to classify and monitor land use in the Gia Lam district, Hanoi, during 2018 - 2023. The results of land use changes in the study area are clearly demonstrated annually. The results study showed that the average annual decline rate of bare land changes is 0,51 %. In contrast, the average increase rate of built-up areas reaches 1,80 % compared to the total natural area of the Gia Lam area.
