Proposal for solutions to develop agricultural production under the impact of the urbanization process in Dong Trieu city, Quang Ninh province

Abstract

Dong Trieu is one of the five cities in Quang Ninh province, located at the Western gateway of Quang Ninh province. In recent years, under the influence of urbanization, the area of agricultural land in the city has significantly decreased (by nearly 700 hectares compared to 2015 as of 2024) due to its conversion to purposes other than agriculture to meet socio-economic development goals. Through methods of selecting research areas, collecting information, and analyzing data, the study has assessed the changes in agricultural production land from 2022 to 2024 due to the impact of urbanization. From this, three groups of solutions have been proposed regarding techniques, agricultural land use, and investment to develop agricultural production under the influence of urbanization.
