Geographic Information System solution model for aquaculture in the Tu Ky district, Hai Duong province
Abstract
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) have become a crucial tool in the management and planning of aquaculture, enabling environmental monitoring, optimizing farming areas, and supporting decision-making based on spatial data. The GIS-based aquaculture management system in Tu Ky district, Hai Duong province is developed on WebGIS and Mobile GIS platforms, facilitating the collection, storage, analysis, and visualization of aquaculture data in both spatial and temporal dimensions. The system provides key functionalities for managing aquaculture areas, including information display, statistical data visualization in charts, and spatial analysis. The research findings demonstrate that the application of GIS not only enhances information connectivity between management agencies, enterprises, and farmers but also lays the foundation for sustainable aquaculture development and adaptation to climate change.
