06. Application of open source WebGIS and 3D Web for the management of building system: a case study of Le Quy Don Technical University

Abstract

Open source WebGIS and 3D Web platforms have been applied in many fields, such as environmental and resource management, urban planning, disaster monitoring,... However, their application in the construction sector is still limited. Based on the development of the open community, this study proposed a comprehensive solution in building 3D models (using open platforms such as Blender) and managing them (using open source WebGIS platforms such as GeoServer, PostGIS, Three.js). This is one of new approaches in the field of construction infrastructure management. The results will be applied for managing the building system at Le Quy Don Technical University.
