Research and propose some solutions to adapt to climate change in cultivation in Yen Bai commune, Ba Vi district, Hanoi city
Abstract
Cultivation is a production industry that is directly dependent on the weather, so it is heavily affected by climate change. Yen Bai commune is a mountainous commune with people's main production activities being farming, so the impact of climate change on the locality is huge. The research results show that the current local climate is changing according to the general trend of Hanoi city, specifically, the temperature tends to increase, the rainfall tends to decrease, and extreme weather events take place more often. Climate change has had many impacts on local farming activities, as rising temperatures and reduced rainfall in recent years have reduced productivity and crop output, reduced cultivated area, and increased pests, therefore local people are gradually having to change their crop structure. Thus, adapting to climate change is an extremely necessary action to stabilize the lives of people in Yen Bai commune. Some management solutions as well as technical solutions for local people have been proposed in this study.
