Assessment of the risk by mass to flight activities at Noi Bai International Airport and proposed solutions to minimize

Abstract

Vietnam suffers a lot from climate change and increasingly unusual natural disasters, especially storms, heavy rains, floods, inundation, severe cold, harmful cold, etc., and fog. This is one of the natural disasters that greatly impact the aviation industry, affecting the take-off and landing process, and threatening flight safety. Noi Bai Airport is an important international airport in Hanoi that serves the travel connections of people around the world and plays an important role in security and defense activities. The level of risk due to fog affecting flight operations at the port in 2015, 2019, and 2020, especially in 2020 and 2021, the risk level is lower. Solutions to limit the level of risk caused by fog include: Accurately forecasting the occurrence of fog, upgrading infrastructure, increasing human resources to serve the ground, and ensuring good equipment operation when visibility is limited.
