AN EVALUATION OF THE CURRENT STATUS OF USING BALL INTERCEPTION TECHNIQUES IN DEFENSIVE PLAY AMONG MALE BASKETBALL TEAM STUDENTS AT HANOI TORONTO INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

Abstract

Using scientific research methods commonly employed in the field of physical education and sports training, the study on the current situation reveals that the team has applied interception and ball-stealing techniques in defensive play; however, in practice, their effectiveness remains limited and has not achieved the expected objectives in training and teaching. This is mainly due to the lack of appropriate training exercises and training methods suited to the characteristics of the participants. The study selected two tests to assess the ability to perform interception and ball-stealing techniques in defensive play, ensuring the necessary levels of informativeness and statistical reliability for the research subjects
