Abstract

Objectives: To assess the needs of the patient’s care and nursing response to such care needs in clinical departments. Assess the perception and ability to perform nursing care of patients in clinical departments. Identify factors affecting the nursing care of patients and provide solutions to enhance the care and quality of care for patients in clinical departments. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was performed on patients currently in hospital clinics with a 24-hour or longer hospital stay and direct nursing care. clinical department of the hospital. Results: 95-96.7% of patients have mental health needs, with 42.7-98% of patients with physical needs. However, the proportion of nurses responding to this problem is lower. 96.7% of nurses are aware of their role as caregivers, but only 1.7% of nurses perceive them as advocates. The rate of regular nursing care for the patients is 63.3-96.7%. Some factors affecting the care activities include: lack of facilities, equipment; lack of time; Weak qualification. Conclusion: The care needs of the patients are very large, but the ability to meet the nursing is limited.
