FACTORS AFEECTING FATIGUE IN CHRONIC RENAL FAILURE PATIENTS WITH HEMODIALYSIC IN TWO HOSPITALS IN NAM DINH CITY IN 2017

Abstract

Objective: To determine some factors affecting fatigue in chronic renal failure patients with dialysis in two hospitals in Nam Dinh city. Method: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 138 patients with chronic renal failure with dialysis in Nam Dinh General Hospital and Nam Dinh Public Security Hospital. Use a set of tools to measure fatigue, depression and social support . Results: The mean score on fatigue was 5.97 ± 0.97 (on a scale of 7). There are fiverelated factors: age, gender, occupation, depression and social support. Specifically, the subjects are males, aged 40-60, unemployed, depressed, and receivied less social support have higher fatigue scores than others, with p <0.05. Conclusion: In the process of taking care for patients with chronic renal failure treated with dialysis, Nurses need to recognize the factors that affect the fatigue such as depression, social support to assess, make a plan , adjust the suitable caring method for patients. In particular, it is necessary to focus on males, groups aged 40-60 and unemployment.
