NURSING CARE OF PATIENTS BY USING DOCTORS-NURSES TEAM MODEL IN THAI NGUYEN CENTRAL HOSPITAL IN 2019

Abstract

Objective: To describe the nursing care of patients by using doctors-nurses team model in Thai Nguyen Central Hospital in 2019. Method: Qualitative research combined with quantitative research was conducted in 31 clinical departments of Thai Nguyen Central Hospital. Results: Team members including doctors, nurse leaders, nurses who performed relatively satisfactory tasks with the rate of 80% respectively; 68.6% and 71%. There is still a relatively high rate of unsatisfactory implementation such as: 71.4% of doctors have not participated in discussing care plans and 62.9% discussing decentralization of patient care with nurses. 40% of nurse leaders have not assigned jobs to nurses that are suitable with qualifications and expertise. 74.2% nurses have not provided counseling on health education for patients and their relatives. Patients highly appreciate patient care in the hospital, 95.7% patients satisfyied with nursing care. However, 26.7% healthcare providers needs to be improved attitude while contacting with patients. Conclusion: The members of the care team perform their tasks at a fair level, however the patient highly satisfied with this care model.
