Abstract

Objectives: Evaluation of the effectiveness of the application of ancillary procedures in congenital heart surgery at the National Children’s Hospital.

Methods and subjects: Descriptive cross-sectional study on surgical cases were developed, procedures and surveys were carried out from January 2021 to May 2022.

Results: After the experimental application of the sub-instrument procedure, only 25% of the surgeons were still stressed and only occasionally, the remaining 75% of the surgeons were no longer stressed about the problem related to the instrument during the procedure. congenital heart surgery. 27.3% of medical staff were still stressed about equipment-related problems during congenital heart surgery, due to broken instruments or consumables, and no longer stress due to surgical instrumentation procedures art. The rate of professional errors and patients having complications related to surgical instruments decreased compared to when the procedure was not used.

Conclusion: Applying an auxiliary process helps surgeons and ancillary nurses to reduce work stress and reduce the rate of complications in surgery and at the same time reduce the operating time of patients
