SATISFACTION OF PREGNANT WOMEN AFTER USING THE SERVICE PACK OF PAIN RELIEF IN THE EDUCATIONAL ANALYSIS NATIONAL HOSPITAL OF OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY

Abstract

Objectives: Describe the satisfaction level of women after using the package of pain relief services during labor by epidural anesthesia. Methods: Design a cross-sectional descriptive study performed on 200 pregnant women using an epidural analgesia service package of the National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The survey form is built based on reference to the survey sample of the Ministry of Health on maternal satisfaction, has been tested, revised and supplemented in accordance with the research context. Results: 100% of pregnant women were satisfied about publicly listing the cost of the hospital’s epidural analgesia package. 90.5% satisfied with spacious delivery room, 99% satisfied with new and sterile tools and equipment in the delivery room. Pregnant women are satisfied with the doctor/nurse’s uniform according to regulations, accounting for 86%. Satisfaction rate about screening before using service package is 45.5%; Pregnant women are satisfied with the anesthesiologist explaining the benefits and harms of epidural anesthesia, accounting for a very low rate of 8.5%. Conclusion: The percentage of pregnant women who are satisfied with the service is only 78.5%, so the hospital continues to improve quality to improve the satisfaction of pregnant women
