Abstract
Mon Son is a border commune of Con Cuong district, Nghe An province, located upstream of Giang river, in the Pu Mat National Park. The livelihood of people in Mon Son is mainly agricultural and forestry. They highly depended on land and forest resources. Livelihoods are unsustainable due to the impact of natural disasters and are degrading natural resources. In order to be able to sustainably develop, a number of suitable livelihood models may include: models community tourism, models of planting medicinal plants, and the development of organic agriculture in combination with handicraft, etc
