Abstract

Salinity intrusion is one of the issues that need attention in the downstream region of Tra Khuc - Ve river. In this research, the one-dimensional hydraulic model (MIKE-11 HD) combine with advection dispersion model (MIKE 11AD) to assess the salinization at downstream region of Tra Khuc - Ve River and forecast the salinity intrusion due to climate change and the declining of upstream flow. The model is based on the database in 2002 and 2013; It is the original scenario to assess the accuracy of the models and compare with the predicted scenario salinity intrusion in 2020, 2030. The simulation results show that salinity deeply infiltrate in the Tra Khuc- Ve river due to the impact of climate change in period 2020, 2030.
