About design standards for RCC dams in Viet Nam through the practice of Dinh Binh dam

Abstract

    Roller compacted concrete dams (RCC dams) are being built more and more in Vietnam. Based on the summarization and evaluation of issues related to the design of Dinh Binh RCC dam, this article points out standards used for designing Dinh Binh dam and analyses limitations and difficulties if we have no standard for design RCC dams. The author recommends setting up the standards in survey, design and construction for RCC dams in Viet Nam.
