A study on the abilities of flood prevention of reservoir system for the downstream of Ca river, Nghe An province

Abstract

      In the central region including Nghe An, flood prevention is one of important missons in order to ensure the safety of people. To reach the aim, an effective solution is to build reservoirs for multiple use of water resourses. On Ca river, there are several suitable locations for reservoir building. In this article, the authors present content and results of flood control on reservoirs, hydraulic computation for the system. This is the basis to assess flood prevention abilities of reservoir system for the downstream of Ca river.
