Abstract

Agricultural drought occurs when soil moisture is insufficient to maintain the average agricultural output. Initial consequences are reducing crop yields and other related products. Severe drought can lead to famine, epidemics, etc. Agriculture drought occurs primarily by low rainfall, hight surface temperature. Research and application of Remote sensing and GIS technology by using Landsat 8 in downstream of Ca river, it is collected on 1-2/7/2015 to calculate the geophysical indicators of temperature and vegetation. It show the relationship between surface temperature, land cover, soil moisture with agriculture drought. Research shows that the indicators has a close relationship with each other as well as with agricultural drought, we can use an index based on the relationship with other indicators to agricultural drought warning.
