Abstract

    Due to the impacts of storms, tropical depressions and discharges from hydroelectric power reservoirs, these floodings have bad effects on people's lives in the Central region. Floodings happen frequently with different degrees of demage and the intensity of flood becomes bigger and more complicated. Therefore, the prevention and combat against floodings are the main missions of all-level authorities and local households as well. However, due to economical difficulties and limited state budgets, it is not easy to prepare favourable conditions for living with floodings. From the perspective of architects, when the solutions on building houses adapted to flooding are developed, they will be very useful for local people.
