Abstract

    In parallel with the development of science and technology, methods of measuring sea parameters are also applied by many different principles and technological solutions. The content of this article presents the results of the research on the application of camera equipment technology in combination with the piles system to calculate the wave parameters in the shoreline breaking area in Cua Dai and Hoi An sea areas during the storm of DOKSURI landed from 12 to 15 September 2017. In the study, the authors have successfully built the monitoring process and the program to analyze, process images, extract wave parameters. The results of the study will have an important contribution in the field of experimentation, analysis and calculation of wave breaking wave parameters in storm conditions. On the other hand, the results of the study can also be applied well in the laboratory when building simulation models, calculating the parameters of coastal wave breaking waves for coastal areas
