Abstract

Ca Mau peninsula accounts of about 43% area of Lower Mekong River, the annual rainfall is huge butconcentrated mainly in the rainy season. The use of rainwater for living is needed commonly, especiallyin coastal areas, where with no water supply system. However, many households collect rainwaterimproperly, leading to unsafe rainwater quality, and difficult to decide on rainwater tank capacity toensure water supply throughout the year. The paper will present the scientific and practical basis topropose reasonable rainwater tank capacity for domestic water supply in households
