Influence of temperature on the strength and durability of cement - based materials in sulfate environment

Abstract

This work aims to study influence of temperature on sulfate attack of cement-based materials.
Specifically, several speciments of cement mortar were tested for strength and expansion in sodium
sulfate solution at different temperatures and at different age days. The results showed that the
temperature has a important effect on the level of damage of the cement mortar. The lower the
temperature, the important sulfate attack will occur.
