Abstract

Fly ash is an industrial waste currently being encouraged by the Government to be used as a construction material to reduce waste, solve landfill and environmental problems. Research on using in situ soil materials reinforced with fly ash, cement as a structural layer to protect works under the impact of high velocity flows has been deployed in many countries around the world, pioneered by the United States. Through the research results, it can be seen that: the potential for exploitation and utilization of in situ soil materials to reinforced by fly ash, cement as a structural layer to protect works under the strong impact of currents is very large. The content of the article presents the results of the study to determine the optimal amount of fly ash in the mixture of soil - fly ash - cement to satisfy the technical requirements for application as a reinforcement material for dyke slopes in the case of permitting overflowing water and the top of the dyke are combined with traffic. The study was conducted to apply for the dike route in Hanoi city, using in situ land in PhucLam commune, MyDuc district, HaNoi city.
