Assessing present status of operations at intra-province bus stations in Ho Chi Minh City and recommendations for overcoming measures

Abstract

     Interprovincial bus stations play a very important role in the transportation system. Currently, in HoChiMinh city, interprovincial bus stations are both insufficient in quantity and poor inquality. Therefore, they do not meet the interprovincial travel demand which is increasing due to unappropriate location of the bus stations, lack of connection with external transport systems, unscientific organization and operation of bus station. This paper studies evaluating the operational status of interprovincialbus stations in HoChi Minhcity and proposes solutions to overcome the current limitations.
