Abstract

    This papers presents a research on HCCI combustion characteristics of a single cylineder internal combustion (IC) engine, named AVL-5402, fueled with n-heptane under different intake pressures (from 1 bar to 1.3 bar) using a turbocharger. The research was carried out on AVL Boost software. The engin simulation condition speed is 2000 rpm, fuel mass per cycle was 10, 10.4, 10.8 and 11.2 mg. The simulation results showed that when the inlet air pressure and engine load increase, the start ignition timing and the engine power increase.
