Impediments and their ways of removal to speed up the Public-Private partnership in development of road infrastructure

Abstract

    Infrastructure investment through Public Private Partnership (PPP) is an interest topic in Vietnam. There is a growing recognition by the government that PPP is a model to optimize investment performance and provide high-quality public services. The PPP pilot program implemented in past years has demonstrated a number of positive effects. However, there have been some inhibiting constraints to implementing PPP. This article refers to the most inhibiting constraints and the solutions to promote PPP in road transport infrastructure development in Vietnam in the coming years.
