Primarily analysing of dem model to recognize actived traces of river Sai Gon fault during late pleistocen –holocen period in Hochi minh city area
Abstract
This report represent results of analysing DEM (Digital Elevation Model) to recognize traces of River SaiGon fault that have been actived during Pliocen - Quaternary in Ho Chi Minh city area. The result shows that River Sai Gon fault have clearly been actived during Holocen period with the width of geodynamical zone of about 30km. The fault could have been actived with average of dextral rate vary from 1,2 mm/year to 16mm/year during Late Pleistocen - Holocen period. It's move rate is not recorded in current time.
