Gender inequality in terms of education opportunities in the Mekong Delta
Abstract
Gender inequality in general and gender inequality of educational opportunities in particular has been an interesting subject for Vietnamese and foreign researchers in globalization period. Comparing the education of Mekong delta’s provinces with that of the whole nation, the former is much lower, which dramatically challenges the development of this region. This study focuses on using anthropological and sociological approaches in a practical way to evaluate the gender inequality of educational opportunities nowadays, then recommends some solutions to educational policy makers for the region’s sustainable development.
