The effect of reinforced concrete braces on the earthquake resistance ability of Base Isolation Systems

Abstract

In the last few decades, there has been a great deal of interest in the use of structural control system to mitigate the effects of natural hazards on civil structures. This paper will briefly describe basic concepts and applications on buildings using rubber bearing isolation which is assisted by diagonal brace.
